Outdoor patio pet friendly
Yes they have several outdoor patio tables for pet friendly customers.
This place is awesome! Best Mexican food i have had in Carmel, also great mezcal selection. The staff is also very good. Friendly and knowledgeable. Also I left my phone and hat out side the bar and they found it and mailed it back to me as I had left town. Again the food is awesome!!
Hard to find, but definitely worth finding. Service (Robert) was great. Fish tacos very tasty. Get the tableside guacamole. Flan was best we have ever had.
Great food, great drinks, great service!
Food was great and so was the service
Great food... Great restaurant run by wonderful people. A must visit if you are looking for Mexican food.
Great food..atmosphere, and service, good prices, fun staff, and bartender, you can even sit outside in the courtyard, and hear the music .eat or just sip libations. At night, when done with dinner, its 10 feet to barmel, more of a bar and nightly entertainment.. which has it's own atmoshere. Open in afternoons. As well!! Onestop for a great time, locals and tourists, alike
Great food, efficient service. Fish tacos were excellent.
Great food, great service.
Carnitas tacos served in a skillet...so good.
Good service, waited only about 10 min for our food to arrive and it was delicious.
Margarita was an 8.5 but food was excellent
Amazing chips and salsa. Amazing Taquitos. Relaxed vibe. Indoor and outdoor seating.
Extremely dissapointing. As we were visiting Carmel for Christmas, we made a reservation two months in advance as we expected it to be hard to find a table on Christmas Day. During the reservation process on Yelp there was no info whatsoever that the restaurant will be closed on Christmas Day. On 24 December I even got an email that asked me to confirm that I will come to the restaurant the next day. So as we went there today to be on time for our reservation, we were standing in front of a closed restaurant. This circumstance left us in the pouring rain with all restaurants in Carmel being completely booked. What a dissapointing experience on Christmas Day...
Great nachos and tortilla soup.
Terrific hand crafted Mexican food. Portions we're plentiful and the service helpful, friendly and entertaining. Great spot.
Absolutely great place. Hard to find, tucked behind some buildings, but once found, it is like finding a treasure. The staff is friendly and inviting and treat you like family. This is not fast food, but an experience in eating. You come here to enjoy the ambience. If you need a quick bite, go to Taco Bell. If you are coming to enjoy a bit of downtown Carmel and want a bit if charm and Baha Mexican, you find THE place.
So expensive for Mexican food. It was so crowded I sat with my legs parallel to the table. Nice and fun atmosphere but won't be going back.
You can expect a fulfilling eating experience here. The owner, Robert, will keep you smiling with the way he describes the food and the way he takes care of his guests. The food is amazing. If you're hungry, get the burrito (puts Chipotle to shame). Literally all of the appetizers are delicious and absolutely worth getting 2 or 3 for a group.
This is authentic flavor. The food was good but not amazing. It was tasty but not delicious. I had the fish tacos which were fantastic but the rice and beans were a little bland. My wife had a burrito with chicken which was also tasty but also lacking a little flavor. The salsa was delicious as were the chips.
Food was very good! Our server Robert was amazing! Very knowledgeable and was outstanding with our kids. Thank you!
Not Bad, a little expensive for 3 tacos.
A small cozy restaurant located in one of the courtyard on 7th street in Carmel. I like the variety of sauces that they offer here. We had the halibut ceviche which was soaked in bed of lime juice and avocado. Delicious. Enchiladas in green and red sauce was great as well, the sauce was just right. Try their hibiscus tea, highly recommended. Although I wish they could have offered tortilla chips less oily instead. It would have made our experience a 4*.
In a nutshell, order the Cadillac Margarita 🍹 🇲🇽 The chicken enchiladas and guacamole were very good as well 👌🏼
First time here, and didnt disappoint, good food, good service, nice cozy place to have lunch. We drove 2.5 hours to Carmel for the beach and we definitely will come back to eat here.
Better tasting food at Taco Bell. Guac was made with just some pico And avocado. So bland. Only thing good was the margaritas. They may have “fresh made” tortillas but they have zero flavorwith the fajitas that we’re mediocre. Server was nice as well as the atmosphere. Not worth the price or portion size that’s for sure. Unfortunately won’t be going back. Save your money go buy take out and eat it on the beach. Better off 👍🏻
We were visiting Carmel for the day at end of the day we couldn’t find any restaurants to have dinner all of them required reservations. After calling around and walking for over 45 minutes. We found pescadero they were able to find us table just had to wait 30 minutes. The restaurant set up is nice a little bit small tables decorations are great. Now when it came to the food, the lobster enchiladas there was not much lobster inside enchiladas the sauce was pretty tasty. We also order a molcajete or came with meat chicken shrimp and cactuses it was smaller then what it actually shows in the pictures but after all it was good. They only give you 3 tortillas which is definitely not enough to finish all your molcajete. Service was great very friendly staff. But I do believe is very pricey it was over $100 dollars for two people and no alcohol or wine was order so yes very pricey
Good service. Food is ok. Little bit pricy for amount of portions and simple meals.
My favorite Mexican restaurant in Carmel. Excellent recipes, wonderfully executed. Handmade tortillas from home ground corn. Superior drinks, great tequila and beer selection, even raicilla. Friendly, prompt service. Outdoor patio!
Tacos on a whole different level. We loved the variety of good quality sauces with the chips. Friendly staff.
the first year, all the food was delicious, and I rated it as the best Mexican restaurant in Carmel.but, the last 2 times I went, the guacamole had an rancid taste, the tomato was old and taste bad, and the rest of the food is not good as in the beginning, and they change the menu very month or week.is bad, because we really like the restaurante.
Excellent food, guacamole and margaritas
We really wanted to like this place....Ambience was OK and the service was really good but the food was not good at all. Guacamole was bland. We had to load it with salt. I ordered the chicken enchilada and the red sauce was also bland. I’m a good eater and could barely finish one of the enchiladas. I guess we’ll try another Mexican food place next time we are in town.
Best Mexican in Carmel-by-the sea that I've found to date. Across from Thinker Toys, it's in a slight alley, not easy to find. But, FRESH corn tortillas made by hand, FRESH margaritas, it's super good!
4.85 Stars! I travel through this area with a taco tuesday mindset! And I was absolutely blown away with the service, margs, Guac, Salas, chips, and fajitas. Definitely a place to go for fresh and authentic/quick food! Enjoy peep!
We really enjoyed dinner here. Had the Seafood enchiladas!
Lot of vegetarian options.. service is excellent and food is decent.
Such love of fish and shrimp tacos with homemade tortillas Add some mix cabage and escabeches onion and yusu juice turmeric aioli :)
In my experience Pescadero is a hidden GEM!!! Located in a tucked away courtyard in beautiful Carmel by the Sea! Stop by and be the judge... great service, awesome margaritas and a full bar next door so don't be shy and order what you want. Large selection of Mezcals and Tequilas. Food is great , my favorite is the chile relleno followed by the crab enchiladas. Tres Leches cake is amazing! They also have blue corn ice cream, shut the front door!!!!!
Great food! We did takeout. Super tasty and they were very good at dealing with food allergies.
Beautiful outdoor eating, wonderful service and food, and the ambience of the place was the cherry on top. Will definitely be back again soon to try dining at night time with the fairy lights!
Perfect service, food and atmosphere. Ignore any bad review you read!! We had the loveliest meal and the waiter was so attentive. Couldn't have asked for a better evening...wish we could dine here every night.
Quaint restaurant in downtown Carmel with excellent service and great food with a variety of dishes.
Rob is the best server I have ever had! Food was amazing, service was outstanding! Would recommend over any restaurant in all of Carmel!
Great fish taco's the burrito not so great
The staff was so rude. We got there a little late in the night (just before 8pm) hoping to get dinner. We were passed by at least half a dozen staff before someone spoke to us. When they did they acted annoyed we were still standing there. It took them 20 minutes and a server trying to seat us before the manager said we could not be seated at any of the dozen open tables an hour before closing. It's understandable if there are reservations but being ignored for 20 minutes and then have the manager rudely tell the server no in front of us is unbelievably rude. Would never try to eat here again.
Pescadero is a little hidden gem in Carmel. We never planned to go here but every other place was already full. We found it in a little spot and what a great little spot.Loved it! Authentic! Guacamole, beans, salsa and tortillas where delicious. A must go in Carmel
The food was not great. The portion size of the plates are small and the price is expensive for each meal. I don’t mind paying for food , despite the price, but food didn’t taste good, portion size for all meal plate orders was small. Tip is included, super high tip rate.
The MOST authentic Mexican experience we found while travelling the California coast. Our server went far above and beyond! He even wrote us a beautiful list of places that were "must stops" as we drove south. What a phenomenal experience, and the food was delicious!
We were is a smaller room and the music was really loud. Food was good especially the tortilla soup presentation.
Beautiful picturesque ambience. Yummy food. Extremely courteous and friendly service. Everything one asks for in a fun dining experience.
